A Neosho R-5 elementary counselor has reportedly been placed on paid administrative leave as an investigation continues into alleged criminal conduct.
Multiple sources tell the Turner Report the counselor, who has not been charged with any crime at this point, is being investigated by local law enforcement for alleged crimes that did not take place on school property and had nothing to do with the district but did involve children.
Two sources told the Turner Report the counselor was not placed on administrative leave until the media began asking questions about the employee's status.

Typical Neosho.
If Jim Cummins can't hide it no one can.
The cover-up in that town is disturbing.
So true
What was covered up? There are laws on what can be disclosed. Everything isn't always a conspiracy.
They covered up Sean sides too. Yeah he was forced to resign. But his family is big in the area so of course it was kept quiet as to why he actually stopped teaching.
Good job, Randy. A little pressure works. The media decided to engage.
What happened with Sean sides ??
Innocent until proven guilty and investigation. That does not automatically mean guilt. My prayer is that the investigation shows nothing happened, both for the individual involved and any other parties. This is my prayer and hope.
I too would like to know what the story is with Sean Sides.
Clearly you're part of the conspiracy.
Power of the Press. When we step forward to seek the Truth we all can Gain Insight.
I get so tired of people jumping to conclusions based on media reports. It is so typical to read/hear of an accusation and have so many people say, "Oh, he/she must be guilty."
Sean sides was one of the best teachers I ever had
He was inappropriate with a student and so he was forced to resign. I'm sure someone loved this counselor whoever they are but doesn't mean they weren't inappropriate with others (allegedly). Your experience with a staff member can be far different from others. It's always the ones you'd least expect. No one questioned why he left a job all of a sudden to be an insurance agent? Lol but the church and the swagerty name protected him.
That's fine, but he has been charged by the Newton Co. Prosecutor
Interesting seeing Sean Sides' name pop up here, given that both he and Oakes were in school together and had overlapping circles of friends.
Is there an update to the story yet?
