Jill Carter: I'm leaving the Freedom Caucus

(From Sen. Jill Carter, R-Granby)

Today, I have decided to leave the Missouri State Freedom Caucus. This decision was not made lightly, but it was made with the best interests of my constituents in the 32nd District of Missouri at heart.

Over the past few months, it has become increasingly clear that the values and priorities that some current members of the Missouri State Freedom Caucus profess to champion are not reflected in conversations, behaviors, or their strategy.

While I remain loyal to the same conservative principles and the advancement of legislation that benefits our state and my constituents, I can no longer, in good conscience, be part of behaviors and actions behind the scenes that defame grassroots and violate the needs of my constituents.

My primary focus has always been, and will continue to be, on serving the people I care most about, the people of the 32nd District. I believe that the best way to do this is by working with integrity and honesty to pass legislation that brings true reform and solves real issues facing our communities.

This includes supporting policies that promote true economic growth, protecting individual liberties, and enhancing the quality of life for us all. I want to reassure my constituents that my commitment to conservative values remains unwavering.

I will continue to fight for lower taxes, limited government, and the protection of our constitutional rights. However, I will do so in a manner that helps me without compromising my conscience and will help me prioritize the needs of the people of the 32nd District first.

I look forward to working with my colleagues who share this same ideology in the State Senate to advance meaningful reform that truly makes a difference in the lives of Missourians. Thank you.

So is Bill the ring leader? The head clown appears to be none other than mr Caleb rowden…. Too many ravenous wolves in sheep’s clothing, doing top-down government, sold to the highest bidder.

So glad Senator Carter reclaimed her sovereignty!!
