KSN reports that Carthage City Council member Dustin Edge resigned effective immediately.
Edge, the KSN report notes, was one of the council members who was elected with the support of Carthage Citizens United and was one of seven members who were backing the impeachment of Mayor Dan Rife and caused the resignation of City Attorney Nate Dally and the firing of City Administrator Greg Dagnan.
Rife's impeachment hearing is scheduled for 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Carthage Water and Electric community room, according to the city website, but KSN says the hearing has been postponed.
Please remain calm.

Move along!
City Council Meeting 09/24/2024 City of Carthage

This new council has shown you either have to be old Carthage money, agree to be easily manipulated or just plain crazy to be on this council. How frustrating for the two who want to do what's best for this town and move the circus out. If you start to show a backbone, you're gone.
ReplyDeleteIve lost a lot of respect for many people watching these council antics
ReplyDeleteRandy, Go to Casenet and look at the TRO the judge issued yesterday. The impeachment hearing is off for now and the judge slapped the city council a little bit.
ReplyDeleteMany of the impeachers seem a little worried. I wonder if the smarter ones have realized they should start practicing standing with their hands on their ankles?
ReplyDeleteBOHICA - if you know you know?
TRO appears to be posted here: https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=pfbid0E7Cz47czvPGHWgn1AUC6EqL25RF1VY4pTqDJ6zrTwERs2LTPSZoj8NEQ51f2vR2tl&id=61558205824320
ReplyDeleteAlso, TRO was apparently filed 9-24-2024.
Which allowed enough time for the clowns to turn out their minions for the Council meeting.
Carthge Citizens United farcebook page seems to have mostly golfing and cemetery cleanuip updates. Very little coverageof actual news of recent Carthage council happenings.
ReplyDeleteI wonder why that could be?
And another one is Gone - Another One Bites the Dust!
ReplyDeleteHe's probably still on the hook for depositions in the Dagnan lawsuit.
DeleteGood luck with that.
Too bad so sad!
KSN/KODE couldnt be more biased when it comes to the situation in Carthage to the likes of which I've never seen. Certainly up there in the same breath as China, North Korea, and Russia. Not sure who's in bed with who, but the irresponsibility is off the charts. CWEP in a board meeting reviewed the timeline of the past year which vindicated the utility with the network filming. None of which saw a second of airplay. Edge resigns and 11 minutes later a full write up hits the web. Disgraceful!
