Carthage Ward 5 voters showed Councilwoman Tiffany Cossey the door today,
The results, which were announced moments ago at the Jasper County Courthouse, showed 730 voting yes on the recall, or 61.5 percent, with 457 voters or 38.5 percent voting for her to remain on the council.
Cossey's ultimately successful push to impeach Mayor Dan Rife and remove City Administrator Greg Dagnan and City Attorney Nate Dally (who resigned) led to the push to remove her from the council.
A historic decision in Carthage. First, ever, recall of a Council member. Democracy in action. I’m absolutely proud of the citizens of Ward 5, and those who worked to bring this question to them on the ballot. The citizens have spoken, and it wasn’t even close. You cannot behave in these outrageously malicious ways and expect to be respected and given the chance to represent the citizens.
ReplyDeleteIi this ain't calling the kettle black....
ReplyDeleteThe people have spoken…
ReplyDeleteThe Majority has Voted and found her unfit to Hold Office! Tiffany Cossey needs to disappear into the realm she came from and then deal with her stealing charges. Maybe she can then reflect upon her attitude, her actions, and her life, which I doubt she will ever understand.
ReplyDeleteThe people spoke in Salem too.
ReplyDelete11:35AM, Color the Truth any way you want to make yourself feel good. She is Finished on the Council.
ReplyDeleteOn the council, yes.

ReplyDeleteIf Tiffany Cossey pleads guilty to the theft of the signs, the Missouri Bar Association needs to Sanction or Disbar her from Practicing Law.
ReplyDeleteBecause convictions often lead to a loss of public trust, this can interfere substantially with a CPA's ability to perform professional responsibilities adequately. As a result, convictions are grounds for many disciplinary actions including revocation of her CPA License.
Would you Trust this Woman to Legally Represent You or do Your Taxes, after what you have seen, heard, or know what she has done? I wouldn't!
I wouldn't trust you to mow my lawn. Kirk and others have done more themselves to harm their own reputation than anyone else could've hoped for. Won the Cossey battle, but losing the war.
ReplyDeletePetty theft tops. A misdemeanor similar to jaywalking. She's fine.
ReplyDeleteThat’s not what the law says.
DeleteTrump is technically a felon, right? I bet you voted for him as well. Don't be a hypocrite. Or perhaps you did vote for Kamala? I guess either way portrays your character.
ReplyDeleteI hope she isn't triggered by the recall.
ReplyDelete4:23PM, You don't have to worry, I have my Lawns Mowed - Maybe you need to realize the Cossey Train, has been abandoned and will not be allowed back on the tracks again. Tiffany Cossey can be sanctioned and/or disbarred by the Missouri Bar and her CPA License could be in jeopardy. Stealing is Stealing - whether a Political Sign from someone's yard or from a Store, Business, Third Party, Etc., Again, why would anyone Trust an Attorney or CPA that is Charged with Stealing and Admitting to it. Only if you are Stupid and Dumb!!!
ReplyDeleteTiffany Cossey's Carthage Ordinance - Charge ORD570.0-031Y20212399.0
