Oklahoma man bound over for trial in McDonald County stabbing murder


A November 25 arraignment is scheduled in McDonald County Circuit Court for Garrett Sumter, 32, Bartlesville, Oklahoma, who was bound over for trial on second-degree murder and armed criminal action charges following a preliminary hearing Wednesday.

According to the probable cause statement, Sumter was one of four friends came to Noel for a float trip on the Elk River were staying in an Airbnb in Noel when a fight broke out following some drinking.

Sumter allegedly stabbed another man who died at an area hospital.
