Teen driver charged with felony DWI after injury accident, BAC nearly three times legal limit

A Webb City teen was charged with felony driving while intoxicated following a December 7 crash at the intersection of Lone Elm Road and Hickory Hills that hospitalized the driver of the second vehicle, a 19-year-old Farlington, Kansas, with serious injuries.

A $100,000 cash-only bond was set for Walter E. Tebalan Mendez, who was driving without a license with a blood alcohol content nearly three times the legal limit, according to the probable cause statement. A bond reduction hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday before Judge Joseph Hensley in Jasper County Circuit Court.

According to the Highway Patrol report, Mendez, driving a 2006 Toyota Tundra, drove off the south side of the road and struck a 2013 Honda Civic driven by the Farlington woman causing it to overturn. The woman was taken to Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.

Mendez failed a field sobriety test and a preliminary breath test showed his blood alcohol content at .218 percent.

Walter E. Tebalan Mendez, DWI, No License, Probably No Insurance - Needs Jail Time - Prayers for the Farlington Woman and her Family.

Again, She is the Victim Not the Person that clearly caused the Accident. Most of you Leftist Liberals always want to Blame the Victims - Not the Criminals - Because if someone Blames the Criminals, then we are all Racist, Fascist, Nazis, or White Nationalist - When this Woman may not be home for Christmas - Yet this Punk sits in Jail, until some Low Life Attorney can get his Bail / Bond - Reduced - from some Sympathetic Judge...

Innocent until proven guilty in a court of law?

      Used to be a thing?

Innocent people don’t get put in cuffs and hauled to jail very often during a DWI or DUI

4:13PM, Sometimes the Facts speak for themselves. No License, Probably No Insurance, DWI with three times the legal limits - Unless someone forced him to drive drunk and unless someone forced him to drink and become clearly intoxicated - should clearly indicate his level of Innocence - Maybe he is Innocent in the Court of Law, before Trial, but Quilty in the World of Public Opinion - Clearly someone with No Regard for the Legal Letter of the Law -

When someone harms another individual, as he did to this 19-year-old Farlington, Kansas, woman - by having little or showing No Regard for the Law - Public Opinion will always side with the Victim - With the General Facts and Charges already listed - People are tired of the Criminals - using the Legal System - by finding Sympathetic Judges and Prosecutors to give them Slaps on the Wrist and Probation to try and Reform these Criminals and their Actions - Which never works - giving them 2 or More Chances of Driving Drunk so they can Kill others through their Actions.

No - This woman and her family almost did not have a Christmas and could have been planning a Funeral - So when you start Feeling Sorry for the Criminals - Just Remember that could have been You or Your Family in the Hospital or even worse being Laid to Rest. Stop Feeling Sorry for the Criminals and Feel Sorry for their Victims...
