The Joplin Globe reports the City of Carthage is paying $275,000 to settle the wrongful termination lawsuit filed by former City Administrator Greg Dagnan.
The news release issued Tuesday noted that the city's insurance company is paying the cost, though the city will have to pay $1,000.
Dagnan sued after he was fired following 13 years as police chief, one year as assistant city administrator and two years as city administrator.

This is not full justice for Greg Dagnan’s having been wrongfully targeted and terminated by the malicious CCU folks, but it’s a terrific win. Finally a win for one of the people who was always on the right side of the fiasco in Carthage, MO.
ReplyDeleteThis is a bunch of BS - That the City of Carthage's Insurance Company had to Pay $275,000 for this Lawsuit - Why doesn't the Carthage City Council ever run things by a Qualified Attorney / Law Firm - before they continue to do such STUPID THINGS - ARE YOU ALL STUPID ON THE CITY COUNCIL - - OR JUST DUMB...
ReplyDeleteSome of the local chattering crews will be all weee wee'd up about the amount of this settlement!
ReplyDeleteJust a few days ago some of them had their underwear all in a twist because they found out Mr Dagnan was the
Chair of the Jasper County Emergency Services Board.
The reaction when the golf dude either pleads guilty or is convicted at trial will be really something.
🤡 🤡 🤡
Phew! That original severance pkg looks like nothing compared to what Tiffany Cossey and the other CCU loyal Council Members got Greg Dagnan from their malicious, vendictive and wrongful efforts! Congrats to Greg Dagnan!
ReplyDeleteIs it time yet for the Missouri attorney general to start coming back to make “case law” - as they were warned in their mandatory forced sunshine meeting? Is anyone still concerned about Mayor Rife? Is Gold still being quiet? I’ve never heard him say squat in council , goodness, I actually miss hearing from Dally. Anything on the “tyrant council squad” and their perjury under oath for the sham impeachment? How is councilmen Perkins’ case coming along? Remind me again who is friends with whom on the boots court tourist board? Would any council member or mayor be slightly influenced to keep pushing thru grants and stuff to them? Is it time to wake back up the sleepy village and start more recalls! Have you all seen that you were lied to and gas-lit by everyone on ccu/cwep and over half of the council and philanthropist in your town??? Is anyone going to step in and fix the debacle btn Carthage Humane Society & the city? I think the Merchant of Hate page was correct all along. Go figure. Such a pathetic shame to think that our country seat is this arrogant and helpless. You all knew better but you let your friendships cover your eyes. I guess you get what you reap & allow. Now maybe you know why no one is coming to your town, from visitors to businesses.
ReplyDeleteForget the myths these people created on social media and at the council meetings. The truth is, these are not very bright people, and things got out of hand.
