A Webb City woman who claims to have tripped over a security rope May 26, 2024 and suffered "permanent bodily injury," is suing Rangeline Golf Center, according to a lawsuit filed Thursday in Jasper County Circuit Court.
In the lawsuit, which lists Rangeline Golf Center, Long Shots, LLC and Beck's Sweet Treats, LLC as defendants, Angela Kay Stark says she was at the golf center at 2001 North Range Line Road when "she was caused to trip and fall over a security chain/rope that created a dangerous tripping hazard."
As a result of the negligence of Defendants, Plaintiff suffered permanent bodily injury, and resulting pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, loss of capacity for the enjoyment of life, expense of hospitalization, surgery, medical and nursing care, treatment, and loss of earnings and loss of ability to earn money. As the injuries are permanent, Plaintiff will continue to suffer losses in the future.
Stark, who is represented by attorney Andrew Buchanan of Buchanan, Williams & O'Brien, Joplin, is seeking compensatory damages and asking for a jury trial.
