Waffle House, 15th Street Dollar General fail Joplin Health Department inspections

 Waffle House, 3506 S. Range Line Road, and Dollar General, 817 E. 15th Street failed Joplin Health Department inspections today, according to information posted on the department's website.

Joplin Senior Center, 2616 Picher Avenue, passed its reinspection following a failed inspection June 3.

Waffle House

Waffle House had two priority violations and two core violations. 

One of the priority violations was for utensil and dish surface not reaching temperatures of 160 degrees or greater. The other was for having potentially hazardous foods in the prep cooler being cold held above 41 degrees.

The core violations were for debris accumulations in hard-to-reach areas and for a damaged gasket on a prep area door.

Dollar General

Dollar General had an administrative violation for not having a current city permit posted.
