(From Freeman Health)Freeman Health System today announced it has entered into a purchase agreement with a subsidiary of Community Health Systems, Inc. (NYSE:CYH) to acquire Northwest Health in Northwest Arkansas, including its four hospitals - Northwest Medical Center – Bentonville, Northwest Medical Center – Springdale, Northwest Medical Center – Willow Creek Women’s Hospital, and Siloam Springs Regional Hospital – along with associated outpatient centers and practices.
The transaction, which is subject to customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions, is expected to be finalized in the second quarter this year, pending customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions.
“This is a meaningful moment for Freeman and the communities we serve,” said President and CEO of Freeman Health System Matthew Fry. “While this marks our first expansion into Arkansas, it is a natural extension of our longstanding regional presence. Northwest Health has a long history of caring for its communities, and we are honored to continue that legacy while bringing forward Freeman’s commitment to compassionate, community-focused care.”

ReplyDeleteI am afraid that Joplin is definitely not the Top Area when it comes to Medical Care. If you have a serious Medical Condition - I would definitely Travel (If you can afford to and your insurance covers it seek out 2nd Opinions from leading Medical Doctors and Institutions). The sad truth is people do the least when it comes to their Medical Care and Trust those just because they have a "Dr." on the door - - That Medical Degree that is hanging on the Wall - Doesn't show where they Graduated in their Class - Example out of 150 Medical School Graduates did they Graduate at 149th in their Class - all it shows you is they Graduated - Do you want the Best in the Class or the Bottom of the Class of Graduates - So before you put your Life in a Doctor's Hand - Check their Reviews and also Check CaseNet to see if they have any Lawsuits filed against them - YOUR LIFE - - Get a Second Opinion!
