Personal injury lawsuit filed against Buffalo Wild Wings

A Jasper County woman filed a personal injury lawsuit against Buffalo Wild Wings, 1525 S. Range Line Road, Joplin, Wednesday.

According to the petition, Paulette Ash claims she slipped and fell on a slippery substance July 16, 2025.

In addition to the restaurant's owner, Buffalo Wild Wings International LLC, Jonathan Hedge is listed as a defendant.

While being seated by the host, Plaintiff was walking through a portion of the Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant and slipped and fell on a slippery substance that was on the tile floor of the restaurant in an area designated and intended for customer traffic. As a result of the fall, Plaintiff sustained injury.

Ash claims the fall has "caused or contributed to cause Plaintiff to experience pain, suffering, anguish, loss of enjoyment and quality of life, and garden variety emotional distress."

The four-count lawsuit alleges premises liability against Buffalo Wild Wings and Hedge and negligence against Buffalo Wild Wings and Hedge.

Ash, who is represented by Taylor D. Haas of the Joplin firm of Johnson, Vorhees and Martucci, is asking for "fair and reasonable" damages.

This law firm doesn't take nuisance firmminor cases. There must be fairly substantial injuries for this particular firm to pursue this tort

With over 1,374720 Attorneys in the US - those bottom feeders will take any case to make a few bucks and at least 40% to 50% of the proceeds or settlement.

4:00, All Law firms are ambulance chasers, that is how they make their money off the backs of businesses that are trying to offer a service or products. A business or its employees has to only due 1-thing wrong out of millions of things to be sued into bankruptcy. Even just walking across the parking lot and someone falling can costs a business millions. Do we need to place signs up - "You enter at your own risk" or have them sign a document releasing the business of any wrong doing before patrons or customers are allowed to enter. We have become a nation of sue-happy individuals, because of all the damn low-life attorneys, all because people do not take responsibilities for themselves. Some may say that is why you pay insurance, to protect your business, but those rates are outrageous today because there is so much litigation and every business has to compensate for stupid patrons and customers - who everyone could be the next person through their door that causes it to close.

Maybe we should take Shakespeare's most famous line to heart - It is: "The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers." Attorneys have cost our Country the American Public and Businesses - A Trillion Dollars, Millions of Lost Jobs, and a high cost to each American household.

The financial burden of the U.S. civil litigation and tort system is immense. The Institute for Legal Reform reported that U.S. tort system costs reached $529 billion (about $4,207 per American household), which is driven by escalating commercial liability claims and legal expenses.

7:26 yes they do but I’m guessing you don’t with that entitled statement. For you folks that don’t understand how insurance works.
If you make a claim your rates will increase and they may even drop you, so know your 75k premium will cost you 100k for similar or less coverage. The consumer will always pay…FYI if you buy stuff you are a consumer..

726, So, you think it is just that easy. Businesses spend thousands of dollars for insurance so we can have some idiot who can't walk across the parking lot without falling down - and we are to pay for them? This type of sh#t happens all the time - today people take no-responsibility for their actions and are always looking for others to pay for their lifestyle and for sending attorneys kids to college on these settlements - American Businessess are tired of this type of free-loading off the backs of people who are just trying to make an honest living, serving their communities and customers, working hard and paying taxes - all to be taken away because of one situation - maybe if the average person - looked at it like as Amazon, Fed Express, or UPS Drivers slips and falls on your Sidewalk in your Yard, while delivering a package - would you be upset to be sued and loose potentially your home, life savings, your kids college money - all because you didn't pick up your hose or you washed your sidewalk or concrete driveway and the driver or a neighbor slipped and fell - HOW WOULD YOU FEEL - JUST REMEMBER YOU HAVE INSURANCE - BUT INSURANCE IS ALL LIMITED AND YOU CAN STILL BE AT FAULT AND YOUR INSURANCE CARRIED DOESN'T COVER THE LAWSUIT OR MEDICAL BILLS - - IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME - TRY TO WALK IN OTHERS SHOES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
