KOAM meteorologist Austin Stance pleaded not guilty to a domestic assault charge June 9 in Joplin Municipal Court.
Judge John Podleski released Stance on his own recognizance.
The next hearing in the case is scheduled for 1:30 p.m August 25.
According to the citation, the alleged crime occurred June 8.
Stance's photo appears to have been removed from KOAM's website.

Where there is smoke there is fire. Isn't that what everyone says, "Not guilty until proved otherwise"? The problem whether guilty or not his reputation has been tarnished, this is what people will look at him and secretly remember this police charge, and this will haunt him, part of world we live in our lives are all played out in this social media circus called society. Not casting stones, but this is our world today, and the problem is most people don't seem to worry what they say or do, in the world of public opinion, yet it will always be there, in some governmental files, social media online databases, cloud backups, etc., our online personal deeds, thoughts and information. How many idiots lost their jobs and income, Teachers, Doctors, Nurses, Medical Personnel, Lawyers, Professional Individuals, Business Owners, because what they said, thought, and did and then who realized they should have kept their big mouths shut and their personal opinions to themselves, because of the Social Media Uproar they brought down upon themselves.
