Eighteen lawyers contribute to Judge Nicholas' re-election campaign


Jasper County Division 4 Associate Circuit Court Judge John Nicholas has received 18 contributions from lawyers who have been in his courtroom or may be in his courtroom in the future, according to his July and April quarterly filings with the Missouri Ethics Commission.

The contributions total $9,289.04, including $8,890.04 in the past three months, more than half of the $17,435.91 Nicholas raised during the reporting period.

During the election period, Nicholas has raised $43,296.57 including a $10,000 loan he made to his campaign committee and had $20,617.87 in his account as of June 30.







Lawyers contributing to the Nicholas campaign included the following:

Three Carthage attorneys, Mariann Moran, Cassandra Ludwig and William Lasley, contributed a total of $399 earlier in the year.

Nicholas spent $21,408.52 during the past three months.

His primary opponent, attorney Tracey Martin received $15,440.42 during the reporting period, including $12,970.29 she loaned to her campaign.

Walter Williams, Joplin, who contributed $500, was the only attorney to donate to her campaign.

She reported spending $22,739.77 and had $3,503,75 in the bank at the end of June.

It would seem the lawyers recognize Nicholas is the superior candidate.

So, we see how Political Corruption and Influence begins - I owe you for backing my Political Campaign, and for anyone that doesn't recognize that then you are an extremely naive and totally uninformed person - because Politics in any Form is about Money, Favors, and Self-Serving - too bad that we cannot Track how this Judge or any Judge - Shows Favor in their Courtroom for the Political Money they are given by the Attorneys that stand in front of them in Court - - At least you know what Attorney to Hire if you ever need to go in front of a particular Judge by looking at the Political Contributors to their Campaign, which is available to the Public!
