Sarcoxie man to plead guilty to federal weapons charge

A change of plea hearing for a Sarcoxie man charged with being a felony in possession of a firearm is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. October 13 in U. S. District Court in Springfield.

Skylar Wyrick, 25, was indicted after he was arrested by the Carthage Police Department following an October 3, 2025 traffic stop.

A search uncovered a firearm, ammunition and methamphetamine, according to the government's detention motion.
