Menasha, Wis., has been selected over Joplin as the site for a $2.5 million expansion for Alcan Packaging, according to an article in today's Appleton Post-Crescent. The expansion is expected to add at least a dozen jobs to Menasha over the next 18 months, the article said.
Joplin, Tulsa, Okla., and Boscobel, Wis., were other sites in the running for the project.
The article indicates Menasha officials promised $850,000 to vacate and relocate a street to help the project along.
