Star: RES not admitting it did anything wrong

You have to love these businesspeople.
Today's Kansas City Star, in an article over the $175,000 fine RES has agreed to pay for creating the horrific odor that has plagued Carthage in recent months, quotes the company's managing partner, Brian Appel, as saying his company did not admit liability or fault.
I'm sure company officials just handed over the $100,000 (the other $75,000 comes if there are further violations) out of the goodness of their hearts.

"These Businesspeople?"

Aren't we using a bit of a sweeping generalization?

Randy, I'll make a deal with you. You avoid classifying all businesspeople as evil, and I'll avoid generalizing all journalisim teachers as jaded, wanna-be, and balding.

Deal?

You're taking it too personally. I was referring to businesspeople who commit acts against the environment or society, agree to shell out big bucks and then refuse to admit they did anything wrong. I never said that applied to all businesspeople, so the cheap shot was unnecessary.

Which one was the cheap shot? Jaded, wanna-be or balding? I vote for balding.

Randy, you are to be commended for your commitment to the stories affecting us in SW Missouri. You know what they say about, "Your nose knows!". Well, I'm convinced that you pursue your investigative journalism, both figuratively and literally. As you probably know, I frequent your blog at least daily, to stay up on the comings and goings of our politicians, our communities and the air quality in our region! Keep up the good work. Congratulations on being recognized across the State as being the Blog to read.
