Moments after censure, council voices confidence in mayor
Less than 15 minutes after approving a resolution of censure for ethics violations for Mayor Jon Tupper, the Joplin City Council gave Tupper a vote of confidence by a 7-0 margin with two abstentions, Tupper and Councilman Jim West.
So the vote of censure was meaningless? Typical Joplin good ol' boy.
ReplyDeleteTupper's unofficial reaction to the Memorial gun incident: "Whew, at least my censure won't be the big story of the day!"
