Hieger officially named new KODE anchor

As noted in the Dec. 2 Turner Report, Lauren Hieger will be the new 5, 6, and 10 p.m. anchor at KODE.
Ms. Hieger made the announcement moments ago at the conclusion of KSN's late newscast, which started at 10:45 p.m. due to the Sunday Night Football game.
Ms. Hieger will work alongside Brian Hammon, replacing Tara Brown who walked out the day before Election Day during a dispute over allowing KSNF to use Ms. Brown's coverage of the McDonald County cult story.
This should be a plus for KODE as it adds a strong reporter with anchor experience and still leaves KODE with an experienced group of reporters including Gretchen Bolander and Shannon Bruffett, who have helped provide consistency for the station during its continual anchor changes over the past few years.
It is not good news for KSNF as Ms. Hieger was one of the few bright lights for a station which for too long has relied on the skill and professionalism of anchor Jim Jackson to cover the holes in its news coverage.
I will look forward to seeing Ms Hieger at her new post.

    Randy,
With the exception of your dislike for the 5pm newscast, what "holes in its news coverage" do you see?

I would like to hear from the oaf who guaranteed Shannon was the heir apparent. Guess that didn't pan out.

Care to show up and explain where your vision derailed?

I also thought that Shannon was the heir apparent. I would think that KODE would reward a local girl who has given them several years of loyal service.

it'd be a good move for KODE if the anchors actually reported.....
and no, leaving the station once every 50 years when the president comes around does not count
