As we continue our review of the first six months of 2007, the following items appeared in March 2007:
March 30- Defeated State Senate candidate Joe Brazil sued political operative/blogger Jeff Roe for libel.
March 29- Leggett & Platt CEO received more than $4.2 million in compensation.
March 29- Leggett & Platt officials opposed a sexual discrimination proposal placed before company stockholders.
March 22- The Nodler Leadership PAC became the Southwest Missouri Leadership PAC.
March 19- Rudy Farber, Neosho, Governor Matt Blunt's appointment to the Missouri Highway Commission, is a large contributor to Blunt, Republican interests.
March 15- A former state representative, who is also a fund raiser for Attorney General Jay Nixon, has a history of refusing breathalyzer tests after being stopped by law enforcement officers.
March 15- The Missouri Southern District Court of Appeals ordered a Taney County Circuit Court Judge to revoke the driver's license of former state representative and Jay Nixon fund raiser Kathleen Steele Danner.
March 14- Nexstar Broadcasting's gamble to pull programming until it received retransmission fees paid off big time as the company's annual report recorded $13.7 million in retransmission fees.
March 10- GateHouse Media pulled the plug on the Joplin Daily.
March 4- Rep. Ray Salva, D-Independence, who was arrested (and later pleaded guilty) on a charge of drunk driving was the author of a bill that would have weakened the state's driver's license point system.
