Three people are reported dead and at least six wounded after a gunman walked into the First Congregational Church, 121 North Wood, Neosho, and began firing, according to an Associated Press report.
A suspect was arrested, according to the Newton County Sheriff's Department.
So far, no reports have been issued on either the Joplin Globe or Springfield News-Leader websites. Channel 14, Joplin's Fox station is continuing its American Idol Rewind program.
