Asiah Epperson made the cut and will continue on American Idol.
"Asiah, your best audition by a mile," the normally acerbic Simon Cowell said as the Joplin beauty continued to win over fans with her sleek, soulful style.
It was a clean sweep for Asiah, who also won the approval of Cowell's fellow judges, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson in the audition, which was done last week, but which aired just moments ago locally on Fox 14.
The number has been trimmed to 50. Tomorrow night, we will find out if Joplin will have its first contestant make it into the final 24.
