Obama sweeps, McCain projected in Maryland

According to NBC, the only race remaining tonight is the Republican race in Washington, D. C.
NBC projects Barack Obama as the winner in Maryland, giving him a sweep of tonight's primaries, following his perfect record over the weekend in Washington, Nebraska, Louisiana, and the Virgin Islands.
Hillary Clinton is already in Texas, where she delivered an address less than a half hour ago. Some of the pundits have declared her strategy to the unsuccessful effort by Rudy Giuliani to put everything on Florida, but it should be remembered, Guiliani never won anything, while it was only seven days ago that Mrs. Clinton swept the major states, New York, California, and New Jersey, and barely lost Missouri on Super Tuesday. Barack Obama still has a long way to go for the Democratic nomination.

John McCain is projected as the winner in Maryland.
