The U.S. Navy deploys Tactical Tomahawk missiles from surface ships and submarines for critical long-range, precision strike missions against heavily defended and politically sensitive targets, according to a release. A remote operator can redirect the Tactical Tomahawk to a new target during flight as well as direct the missile to loiter above the battlefield while it awaits an assignment.

Joplin LeBarge plant to work on materials for cruise missiles
LeBarge has been awarded a $9.2 million Raytheon contract to provide cables and electronic assemblies for the Tomahawk cruise missile and work has begun at the company's Joplin plant:
