Former Globe reporter receives award from Arkansas Press Association

Roy Reed, whose career took him from the Joplin Globe to the Arkansas Gazette to the New York Times, received the Distinguished Service Award from the Arkansas Press Association Friday in Little Rock.
Reed also taught journalism for 16 years at the University of Arkansas and has written a well-received biography of former Arkansas Gov. Orval Faubus.
