McCaskill: Obama is consistent in Iraq policy

Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-MO, continued her role as one of the top surrogates for Barack Obama this morning on Meet the Press, defending the senators against charges that he has flip-flopped in his position on Iraq.

"There is nothing inconsistent about Barack Obama's position on Iraq. Form the very beginning of the campaign he has said very clearly we must get out as carefully and quickly as possible."

Sen. McCaskill also said Obama's budget plan is workable. "He will not raise taxes on anyone making less than $200,000 a year." People who make more than that would return to what they are paying before the Bush tax cuts, she added. She said John McCain's plan was "drafted in a board room" while Barack Obama's was "drafted at the kitchen table."

"John McCain's tax cuts include $1.2 billion for Exxon Mobil. Give me a break!"
