Nixon campaign continues to rake in big bucks

With nearly all of the attention centered on the Republican primary for governor between Kenny Hulshof and Sarah Steelman, kt is easy to overlook the winner's opponent in the November election, but Attorney General Jay Nixon's campaign machinery has continued to run smoothly during the last few days.

Twenty-four hour reports filed with the Missouri Ethics Commission show Nixon, who faces only opposition from unknowns in the primary, has raised $25,050 since the eight-day report was filed. In the eight-day filing, Nixon reported receiving $91,373.42 in July, and having $2,892,382.86 in his campaign account.
