On documents filed Tuesday with the Missouri Ethics Commission, Mitchell Gravo, who contributed $5,000 to Democratic attorney general candidate Chris Koster, is listed as "self-employed," and indeed, he is.
For years, Gravo, an attorney, has been one of the most powerful self-employed lobbyists. According to the state of Alaska's list of registered lobbyists, the Anchorage lawyer represents the Anchorage Convention and Visitors Bureau, CQI and Technologies Unlimited, Inc., Municipality of Anchorage, Oxley & Associates, Inc., Q Tires, Inc.; UST Public Affairs, Inc.; and probably most importantly as far as Koster is concerned, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 1547.
