During an interview earlier this afternoon with KMOX'S Mark Reardon, Seventh District Congressman Roy Blunt disputed the idea that his son, former Gov. Matt Blunt, left the office after one term unpopular with Missourians.
"We're one of the few states that's not in financial trouble and you know why," the elder Blunt said, adding that he hopes the Republican legislature can keep Gov. Jay Nixon headed in that direction.

He can say that with a straight face and still run for the Senate?
The hubris of politicians knows no limits. Paradoxically, they take credit for good things they had nothing to do with, and they avoid responsibility for the disasters they wreak upon the populace. Remember who was the chief House water carrier for TARP? If you answer Roy Blunt, you are correct.
Yeah and Holden was the governor before him and the Missouri economy was a mess so it must have been his fault because he was a democrat and pushed faulty legislation through at Jeff City. LOL.. Hey, we could keep this up all day.
