Sources confirm to KMOX news that State Representative T.D. El Amin is the subject of an FBI corruption probe. The investigation includes an allegation of accepting a bribe.
El-Amin and his attorney were unavailable for comment. Earlier in the week, when asked if he was under federal investigation, El-Amin referred all questions to his attorney. Attorney Paul D'Agrosa had no comment at that time.
Rumors began to swirl around El-Amin earlier this month when he announced without explanation that he was no longer seeking his party's nomination to replace Jeff Smith in the State Senate.

Feds investigating another Democratic legislator
Coming in the aftermath of the guilty pleas of Sen. Jeff Smith and Rep. Steve Brown to felony obstruction of justice charges, comes a report from KMOX that Rep. T. D. El Amin, D-St. Louis, is the target of a corruption investigation:
