Following a hearing today in Jasper County Circuit Court. Judge Gayle Crane took requests for a change of venue filed by accused killers Darren Winans and Matthew Laurin under advisement, as well as requests to sever their cases.
Winans, 22, Jasper, and Laurin, 19, Springfield, are charged with first degree murder in connection with the Oct. 11, 2008, slayings of Bob and Ellen Sheldon of Carthage.
The judge is likely to hand down her decision during an 8:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 26, hearing.
