Skelton one of 39 Democrats to vote against health care bill

Fourth District Congressman Ike Skelton was one of 39 Democrats to vote against the House health care bill, which passed 220 to 215 this evening.

Earlier this week, Skelton issued the following statement:

“I oppose the creation of a government-run public insurance program and continue to have serious concerns about its unintended consequence for Missourians who have private insurance plans they like,” he said in a statement issued this week.

If Pelosi had needed Ike's vote, she would have had it. He is encouraged to vote against the liberal leadership on any issue that will hurt him in the conservative 4th district UNTIL they need his vote. He is totally in Pelosi's pocket. 2010 is the year to get rid of Ike.
