Stouffer: The election was always about removing the gavel from Nancy Pelosi's hands

Sen. Bill Stouffer, R-Napton, who finished second to former Rep. Vicky Hartzler in the Fourth District Republican Congressional primary, thanked his supporters today:

Sue Ellen and I want to thank all of our friends and family who put a portion of their lives on hold to come alongside us in this campaign. This election has always been about removing the gavel from Nancy Pelosi's hands and in that sense, it will continue!

We will never forget the friends that we have made along the way in this experience; we will remember 2010 as an opportunity to be a part of the process to restore America's promise. We have no regrets.

I look forward to continuing to serve rural Missouri as a state senator and hope we will continue to stay in touch over the next two years.
