Darrell Moore, a former candidate in the Republican Congressional Primary and current Greene County Prosecutor, announced today that he is supporting Billy Long in the 7th District Congressional race. Mr. Moore, who received a significant share of the vote during the primary race, wants to see the party unite to pursue common goals.
“I enthusiastically endorse Billy Long,” Mr. Moore said. “Billy and I have known each other for years and I believe that he will be able to bring a sense of good natured professionalism to the more conservative Congress that will likely be elected this November. It is vital to our nation’s future that we address the structural flaws that have crept into our budgetary situation and I believe that Billy will be able to meaningfully contribute to the solutions that we need.”
“I am proud and thankful to have Darrell Moore’s endorsement,” Billy said. “Darrell is a highly respected prosecutor who has served Greene County well for many years now. I appreciate his help and support as we go forward into the election this fall, not just in my own race, but in ensuring that the 7th District remains a powerful area of Republican support.”
