In a news release issued Friday, former State Treasurer Sarah Steelman, a candidate for U. S. Senate, challenged her opponents to sign up for a Jan. 10 debate:
U.S. Senate candidate Sarah Steelman is ready to begin debates. Steelman is confirmed to debate in St. Louis on January 10, 2012, organized by KTRS talk show host McGraw Millhaven.
"I am very excited to begin debating the issues. I sincerely hope that Congressman Akin and Mr. Brunner both show up to debate on the 10th. This is a great opportunity to articulate our plans on how to get this country moving in the right direction. Let's just do it!," Steelman said
Steelman has stated she will debate under any format and at any location
