Rebuild Joplin and Boyd Metals will host a ground breaking ceremony on Monday, April 22, 2013 at 4:15pm at the corner of E. Hill and School Streets, Joplin. Representatives of Boyd Metals will join Rebuild Joplin staff to break ground for this new home which will allow another family affected by the May 2011 tornado to return home.
This is the second home that Boyd Metals has helped to sponsor for clients of Rebuild Joplin. Boyd Metals had contributed both funds and personnel to build the first home which enabled a family to return to a safe and secure home; the first home was completed in December 2012.
The homeowner for this home is a lifelong Joplin resident who lost his home during the tornado and has since been living in temporary housing.
