After a successful career in the private sector, Mary Fallin was first elected to the Oklahoma House of Representatives in 1990. Preceding her time as Oklahoma’s first-ever female governor, Fallin served 12 years as the state’s lieutenant governor and four years in Congress. As governor, Fallin listed her priorities as job growth and retention, government modernization and streamlining, education reform and protecting Oklahoma from the intrusions of Washington, D.C.
As the author and floor manager of the landmark Welfare Reform Act of 1996 and member of the “Gang of Seven,” which exposed Congressional Banking and Postal corruption, Rick Santorum earned the reputation as a dependable government reformer. In 2011, Rick Santorum was a candidate for the Republican nomination for President of the United States in 2012 and became known as a voice for conservatives who didn’t feel their voice was being represented. His grassroots approach to campaigning catapulted him to wins in 11 states and nearly four million votes during the Republican primary process.
MRLC will be held from September13-15, at the Westin Crown Center in downtown Kansas City. MRLC will offer Midwestern Republicans the opportunity hear and learn from leaders from both the Midwest region and surrounding areas. Please visit www.mogop.org/mrlc to sign up and receive information, Registration for both attendees and working media will begin in July.
