Craig Wood is accused of the February abduction and murder of Hailey Owens. She was grabbed off the street near her home and her body was found in Wood's basement several hours later.
Today the Judge Dan Conklin ruled a jury from Platte County, just north of Kansas City, will be brought to Greene County for the trial. This decision was part of a joint agreement by both the defense and prosecution.
This decision comes after the defense team's request last month for a change of venue.
Wood was present for the hearing, alongside Hailey Owen's parents, family, and friends.
