Joplin R-8 Superintendent C. J. Huff's "We Will Have School" Tour crossed the border today with successful results.
Huff gave the keynote address at the first-ever joint conference of the Saskatchewan School Boards Association (SSBA), the League of Educational Administrators, Directors and Supeerintendaents of Sasktchewan (LEADS) and the Saskatchewan Asssociation of School Business Officials (SASBO) held at Saskatoon's TCU Place.
The following reviews were posted on Twitter:
-From a CIA representative from Moose Jaw (she is superintendent of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment) @cjhuffjoplin thank you for your inspiring story! It feels like happiness! (That is a reference to a story Huff tells at nearly every stop these days about how a student at one of the new elementary schools described his new surroundings.)
-CJ Huff closing comment after sharing his story "Don't underestimate your ability to make a difference in the lives of students."
-CJ Huff, what a great story of recovery. Awesome speaker!
-CJ Huff: The story of Joplin and his pledge that school would start on time after devastation.
-Getting an opportunity to meet with CJ Huff prior to his keynote address
-Starbucks will open on Thanksgiving.
-A raw gut-wrenching picture of the realities of domestic abuse. (Sorry about those last two, I just kept reading as I went down the Twitter feed.)
Today's speech marked at least 14 weekdays in 2014 that Huff has been gone from the Joplin R-8 School District either on a "We Will Have School" tour speech or on business for Bright Futures USA.

Perhaps we should send him to Buffalo next. His hot air might prove useful there.
The farther he gets from Joplin, the further he gets from reality.
I am pretty sure we have an extradition treaty with our Canadian neighbors.
