WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED... ELEVATED LIGHTNING RISK. DISCUSSION... SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE LATE TONIGHT AS A WARM FRONT LIFTS NORTH THROUGH THE OZARKS. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY. WINDY CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED ON TUESDAY AHEAD OF AN APPROACHING COLD FRONT. WINDS GUSTS ABOVE 30 MPH WILL BE POSSIBLE TUESDAY ACROSS SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS AND FAR SOUTHWESTERN MISSOURI. STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORM ARE EXPECTED TUESDAY AS A COLD FRONT APPROACHES...AND THEN EVENTUALLY MOVES THROUGH THE REGION. THUNDERSTORMS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING...LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WIND GUSTS AND AN ISOLATED TORNADO WILL BE THE MAIN SEVERE WEATHER RISKS. THE STORMS ARE EXPECTED DEVELOP AND IMPACT THE REGION AFTER 3 PM. ADDITIONAL STRONG TO ISOLATED SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WILL AGAIN BE POSSIBLE LATE WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON INTO THURSDAY MORNING. THERE IS ALSO THE POTENTIAL FOR SOME MINOR FLOODING AS STORMS WILL MOVE OVER THE SAME AREAS. A COLD AIR MASS WILL THEN FILTER INTO THE REGION FOR THE END OF THE WEEK. A CLIPPER SYSTEM IS EXPECTED TO CLIP THE REGION WITH THE POTENTIAL OF A LIGHT SNOW AND RAIN MIX ACROSS PORTIONS OF EXTREME SOUTHWESTERN MISSOURI AND SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS. NO ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED.
