AT 1245 AM CDT...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WITH STRONG LOW LEVEL ROTATION THAT COULD PRODUCE A TORNADO AT ANY TIME WAS LOCATED NEAR FAIRLAND...AND MOVING NORTHEAST AT 45 MPH. HAZARD...TORNADO. SOURCE...RADAR INDICATED ROTATION. IMPACT...FLYING DEBRIS WILL BE DANGEROUS TO THOSE CAUGHT WITHOUT SHELTER. MOBILE HOMES WILL BE DAMAGED OR DESTROYED. DAMAGE TO ROOFS...WINDOWS AND VEHICLES WILL OCCUR. TREE DAMAGE IS LIKELY. LOCATIONS IN OR NEAR THE PATH INCLUDE...TWIN BRIDGES STATE PARK... WYANDOTTE...OTTAWA...QUAPAW AND PEORIA THIS INCLUDES INTERSTATE 44 BETWEEN MILE MARKERS 301 AND 324. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... TAKE COVER NOW. GO TO A DESIGNED SHELTER SUCH AS A SAFE ROOM OR STORM CELLAR IF AVAILABLE. OTHERWISE...MOVE TO AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF A STURDY BUILDING. AVOID WINDOWS. IF SEEKING SHELTER IN A BASEMENT...BE SURE TO GET BENEATH SOMETHING STURDY. IF IN A MOBILE HOME...A VEHICLE OR OUTDOORS...MOVE TO THE CLOSEST SUBSTANTIAL SHELTER AND PROTECT YOURSELF FROM FLYING DEBRIS. TORNADOES ARE DIFFICULT TO SEE AND CONFIRM AT NIGHT. TAKE COVER NOW.
