Appeals court to hear case of Neosho man convicted of sex crimes

A hearing on the appeal of a former Neosho man convicted of sex crimes in 2014 will be heard in Springfield September 15 by the Missouri Southern District Court of Appeals.

On February 28, 2014, a Newton County jury found Richard McNabb, 36, guilty of sexual exploitation of a minor and sexual misconduct involving a minor.

During his trial, a 16-year-old girl testified that McNabb took nude photos of her when she was nine or 10 years old and had performed a sex act in front of her. McNabb denied the allegations.

Judge John LePage sentenced McNabb to 15 years in prison.

McNabb is represented by Springfield attorney Dee Wampler.
