Springfield protesters against DeVos confirmation: We're not liberals; we're here for kids

So the professional teachers and their public unions are against vouchers for parents to choose their own teaching arrangements for their children. Thus they are against the DeVos confirmation.
Which is too bad. Public education is too expensive and inefficient to go on as before. Eventually private-market solutions shall have to be worked out and public schools will have to accept private-sector competition and lessening public funds. Whether DeVos shall enhance or obstruct the inevitable remains to be seen.
All these protesters are doing is trying to exploit children to bring political pressure to business as usual.
