KOAM: Parts of Northpark Mall were on lockdown Thursday

Though I don't see it on the website, KOAM updated its earlier reporting on the situation at Northpark Mall Thursday afternoon and confirmed that parts of the mall were on lockdown following a report of a shot being fired.

While the Joplin Police Department news release stated the mall itself was not on lockdown, individual stores did opt for lockdowns.

In addition to those stores, the Northstar 14 theaters were also reportedly on lockdown.

The police investigation did not find evidence of any shooting taking place, but three unrelated arrests were made.
