"We report news, not speculation or gossip," the message on the Daily's Facebook page.
Despite this pronouncement, the Daily apparently felt an obligation to share R-5 Board of Education Steven Douglas' complete response to what it termed as speculation and gossip "so that the public can check out the links and information, the same information made available to our news team."

ReplyDeleteI have lost respect for you on this subject. Why do you seem to rarely say positive things about schools? Did you ever go to any of the town hall meetings about the junior high project? There were many where questions were asked and answered.

ReplyDeleteDaily News has been asleep... Didn't report two asst supts being pushed out, didn't report the finance people being pushed out, didn't report all the mes that the financials have been I for the past 6 months. They are just cheerleaders for the district.

ReplyDeleteGuess the school board election results show that plenty of voters weren't buying the explanations and excuses that Steven Douglas was giving the last six months!
