Carthage man charged in Saturday stabbing spree arraigned, pleads not guilty

A Carthage man pleaded not guilty to three counts of assault, three counts of armed criminal action and a single count of burglary during a video arraignment this morning in Jasper County Circuit Court.

The next hearing for Vincent Kimmel, 60, is scheduled for 9 a.m. April 10 before Judge Joseph Hensley.

Kimmel allegedly stabbed three people, one of them 10 times, another six times and the third in the heart at 826 W. Chesnut in Carthage Sunday.
