Blunt staffer to constituent: Information on how constituent calls are running on impeachment witnesses is "privileged"

Apparently, Sen. Roy Blunt's staff is taking its cues from the Trump Administration with one staff member telling old friend and former blogger Jim Lee that information on how the calls are running on whether John Bolton and other witnesses should be allowed is privileged.

Whether that is the case or whether the staffer just heard the word on TV, liked it and thought she would try it is not certain.

Perhaps Sen. Blunt can tell us at his next town hall meeting.

When he told her he was a constituent and wanted to know how the calls were going, Lee says the staffer became flustered, said something about him calling last week and hung up.

For the record, though his staff, or at least that staff member, did not want to give any indication of how callers feel on the question of witnesses, Blunt has left no doubt where he stands, saying yesterday, "Unless there’s a witness that’s going to change the outcome, I can’t imagine why we’d want to stretch this out for weeks and months.”

Uh, next time suggest you represent a PAC and see what happens. This is the same old stuff we get from all the GOP's in our state who will not be having an open forum to discuss issues with "all members of our society" because we do not count unless money is there to pay him. This is coming from a past teacher, maybe that is why he is not teaching anymore, and college officer who has nothing but disdain for anyone outside his imperfect sphere. This person is embarrassing for Missouri, but not quite as bad as Hawley who somehow managed to buy his way through law school.
