Joplin R-8 Board extends Melinda Moss' contract through 2022-23, accepts one resignation, 11 retirements

During a closed session Tuesday night, the Joplin R-8 Board of Education extended the contract of Superintendent Melinda Moss through the 2022-23 school year.

Moss has been the top administrator in the R-8 District since the 2017-2018 school year when she replaced Interim Superintendent Norm Ridder.

The board also hired one teacher, accepted one resignation and 11 retirements and hired 11 classified employees.

Resignation - Debra Lawler


Classified Employments - Kathy Brown, Cody Chapman, Sagely Dill, Hali Heckadon, Kelly Henson, Aleesha Jackson, Tamara Jaeger, Kate McDonald, Carol Potts, Dawnyella Smith, and Holly Wampler Perrin
