Only one COVID-19 death in Missouri over last 24 hours, none in St. Louis County

Only one COVID-19 death was reported in Missouri over a 24-hour period, according to statistics released this afternoon by the Department of Health and Senior Services.

For the first time in weeks, no deaths were reported in St. Louis County. The only death was in the city of St. Louis, which now has 108.








St. Louis County leads the state with 386 deaths, followed by St. Louis' 108, St. Charles County with 54, Jefferson and Franklin counties with 16 apiece and Jackson County with 15.

No new COVID-19 cases were added in this area during the reporting period. Jasper County has had 20 cases, McDonald County 17, Newton County 16, Joplin 12 and Barton County none. The state had 124 new cases, according to the report, increasing the total to 12,291.
