Jasper County Sheriff: Missouri has no law prohibiting wearing a mask while carrying a concealed weapon

(From the Jasper County Sheriff's Office)

A little while back there were posts on Facebook claiming that if you wear a mask you are not allowed to concealed carry in Missouri.

This spurred several calls and messages to the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office concerning the legality of wearing masks and carrying a concealed weapon.

Missouri has no law that prohibits the wearing of a mask while carrying a concealed weapon.

This applies both to concealed carry permit holders and individuals that “constitutional carry”. There is also no federal law prohibiting carrying while wearing a mask.

Some other states do have laws against this, most notably Illinois. If you plan to carry outside of Missouri you should check the laws in the states you are visiting.
