Missouri confirms 1,058 COVID-19 cases, three deaths

After a brief period where new COVID-19 cases dipped under 1,000 a day, the state of Missouri surpassed that mark for the second straight day, recording 1,058 new cases during the past 24 hours, according to statistics released this afternoon by the Department of Health and Senior Services.

The new cases bring the total to 71,733.

The state's death toll stands at 1,417 after three deaths were confirmed during the reporting period.
